I know the internet is awash with fan made DVD covers but CDs? Not so much…
I love to make up CD covers for certain projects that you may or may not be aware of and I`m currently working on Terror of the Vervoids so the first one I rework is always the official DVD cover, like so…
Since I`m rubbish at all that Photoshoppery bollocks that produces this sort of thing, I like to Google and see what else I can find. Which is how I came across the work of the magnificent Andy Lambert, who you can find both on Facebook and at DeviantART. I bastardised some of his stuff from the first Brilliant Book into fake Target Covers a while back if you remember but this time round I couldn’t resist making this one into a CD…
You can view the original HERE over at DeviantART.

Andy Lambert didn’t do the first Brilliant Book, that was Lee Johnson but Andy Lambert is one of the undiscovered gems of fan art. It’s ashame he hasn’t got the buckets of commissions he deserves. Great work popping those into the CDs.
Whoops! Thanks for the correction Tom and apologies to Lee Johnson if he`s reading this, which I very much doubt!
Do you remember that bloke who used to call himself Chameleon Circuit? He did some of the best non-official stuff I`ve ever seen, shame he shut down…
I’m sure Lee wouldn’t mind, from the experiences I’ve had with him on Gallifrey Base he’s a lovely chap. His latest stuff in the 2012 Brilliant Book is even more target style-y than his Series 5 pieces. And his newer ones are even in portrait.
That was Rob White, I think. I missed Rob’s site because I only discovered the world of fan DVD covers in 2006. The site notices page on another cover site of the same name gives a bit of a saga to how Rob’s covers were nearly allowed to still be available http://www.galactical.co.uk/chameleoncircuit/index2.htm
Rob White, yes that’s him! He was brilliant!
