Dr Who in “The Underwater Menace”!

Not exactly from the pages of TV Comic, but for all the sophistication of the plot it may as well have been!

Since this is a photo comic strip, like you used to sometimes get in comics back in the day, I reckon we should call this a Telecomic…

The Underwater Menace is, like The Ark before it, little more than a TV Comic story made as live action instead. And since the Beeb still haven’t put the story out on DVD yet, I put this together to keep us all going in the meantime.

Delightfully and charmingly silly! Cheers – and thanks for the scans of the delightfully and charmingly silly 60s TV Comic strip. You’re just about to hit a rich vein of form in the colour centerfold stories (Cybermen vs flowers/wearing capes and building golden statues; galactic conquerer Quarks, red-headed Jamie, giant killer wasp robots; and of course The Witches and definitely-not-the-Yeti Ice Apes!). Good times are a comin’! 🙂

  3. Wow, that’s really impressive.

  4. Love it. Just a point of minor hilarity though – perhaps a different font. I read “The Doctor tucks in” as something quite different 😀

  5. Great stuff…nothing in ze verld can stop you now!
