Is it him? Will the Doctor finally be ginger?
Or is it her…?
Will it be Unlucky Thirteen, whoever gets to be the new Who?
With the announcement due to be made after today’s Men’s Final at Wimbledon, let’s hope whoever wins it does so in straight sets so we can find out who Doctor Who#13 is sooner rather than later!
And don’t forget, it’s Thirteenth Doctor, Fifteenth Incarnation!
Remember how the Fourth Doctor’s costume suddenly went from THIS outfit
at the end of The Horns of Nimon to THIS outfit
at the start of The Leisure Hive…
with NO on screen explanation?
The answer has been hiding in plain site all this time, and it doesn’t involve a comic strip trip to the planet Kolpasha…
There are numerous instances where it’s pretty obv that the Doctor’s adventures don’t always happen to him in the order in which they are transmitted to us. Like twice in the McCoy era, for instance.
Take Season Seventeen for example…
… it’s in the wrong order. Which is to say that the transmission order of the stories isn’t the chronological order in which they happened for the Doctor and Romana.
But this is…
There’s no continuity between the individual stories, unlike Season Eighteen, so after Destiny of the Daleks they can go in any order you like. And if they’re ordered like they are above, then the Doctor getting Mandrell’d provides the perfect excuse for Romana to take him shopping for a new outfit…
If you were watching the March 25th edition of The O’Reilly Factor on Fox News, during the “Is It Legal?” segment with Kimberley Guilfoyle, you would have seen Bill O’Reilly use a mobile phone to illustrate one of the items in the piece….
So, who would ever have thought they would ever see Bill O’Reilly holding a Tardis-backed phone? Surely it can’t be his phone? Can it?
Maybe he borrowed it from Craig Ferguson…
You can see the Tardis phone clip from The Factor on YouTube HERE
from the closing moments of the finale of Episodes Series 3…
Given the recent announcement that a bundle of News Series eps will soon be available on BitTorrent, and given that BBC Worldwide, in the latest DWM [issue 485] are saying:
“We would like to reassure everyone that we are currently reviewing the best way to bring fans more classic Doctor Who. Please bear with us – we’ll let you know more as soon as we can.”
Whopix is going to stick it’s neck out and say that the story won’t be out on DVD at all, instead it’ll only be available as a BitTorrent download. Which is pretty shite really, since all we’ll end up doing is burning the bloody thing to a disc ourselves anyway!
Dark Water. 43m 49s. Clara spots the Cyberman. But wait a minute…
Okay, the Master becoming a woman, fair enough, that particular bit of gender-bending has been on the cards for a while now [stand by for all sorts of Cosplay of varying quality] but Dr Skarosa? Come on Moffat, enough already. You know what fans are like and what they’ll make of something like that. Naughty, naughty.
Amongst all the other things to look out for in Dark Water, here’s one you may have missed. When Clara is phoning Danny, in amongst all the post-it notes is this:
That is a, or maybe the, Hyperscape Bodyswap Ticket that Smiffy & Clara used to get into the 2013 BBC Proms!
So, does that mean the BBC Proms are now Canon?
